What am I missing?

Is there a secret I don’t know about? I see all these cute dresses & tops where the back or sides are cut so low that a bra would show and I think, are these only made for the young/paid-for perky boobed chicks or is there a way to wear them while also being supported.

This is the dress that prompted this internal debate today…

But for the life of me, I can’t figure out how to wear it.  Okay, TMI, but after two kids, my girls need  support when I leave the house.  I’m not 18, I can’t go braless and look as cute as the model does.  It’s just sad looking when I try to do it.

So, help a girl out.  Is there a way to wear something like this if you need to be supported?

And a flattening tube top is NOT an option!

Maybe you wear a bra and just plan to keep a sweater or jacket on the whole time?

I usually look at pieces like this and quickly dismiss them since I know I can’t go braless, but today I’m wondering if I maybe dismiss them too quickly.

Or maybe the answer is the exact thing I’ve been telling myself, “nope, you can’t wear that and get away with it.  Move along!”  🙂

I’d sure love to know the answer to this too! I have found quite a few cute ones like this and immediately think “Nope, can’t wear a bra, have to pass.”

    • Lol. Glad to know I’m not the only one. Sadly I’m worried that we might be at the age where some things just aren’t for us. 😛

I do the cardigan or jean jacket throw-over trick! There’s no getting away without a bra for me either! Your Loft chambray would look really cute with this dress! Found your blog via your Stitch Fix review. I love that bicycle scarf!

    • Good to know! I think I might venture out and try it while the weather is still cool enough that I can get away with wearing a jacket/sweater the whole time. And, yes, wasn’t that bicycle scarf adorable?! I’m still sad I had to let it go, but it was the right decision. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment!

  3. I’m pretty sure us full breasted gals just can’t enjoy dresses like these. I mean, you could wear a sweater/jacket over your dress the whole time but kinda defeats the purpose. Oh well. While those other girls are busy smushing their boobs together to get cleavage, we get it naturally. 🙂
