feeling quiet…

Does everyone overanalyze their blog posts?  I constantly question myself about anything I think about posting.  I question myself before I write a post, after I write it and even shortly after it’s published.

“Are there too many outfit posts? Are my outfits stupid? Will anyone like them?”

“Ugh, these photos suck.  I want to put that outfit on again and take different pics” (but it never happens)

“I should talk about something more interesting”

“I should write about *insert something I did recently*” (but then lose momentum when too much time has passed between said activity and the blog post)

“I should *insert whatever you think I should be writing about or wearing*”

It’s been 10 days since my last post. *that felt a little like a 12-step program opening statement, but whatevs.  Like I said…10 days.  Forever in blogland time. I keep wanting to post something, but it keeps going a little something like this…

open a new post
wonder what to write
decide that I have nothing to say
close the tab and figure that something brilliant will come to me so then I can write something maybe at least halfway interesting

Problem is…I’ve been on the quiet side lately so nothing is just “coming” to me.  Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been doing stuff.  But when it comes to writing about it (or anything else for that matter), I just go blank or over think it so much that it’s too much hassle.

Hence…this post about nothing!  😉

And since a post is completely pointless with out photos…

I’m loving nude shoes these days and am dying for some nude ballet flats.

I’m still new to Polyvore, but I just found out that they have templates, photos, text and more to make your collage super cool!  I kept wondering how people made such pretty collages.  🙂

My Project Life 365 is still alive and well!  I missed one day so far (I think), one day I used a screen capture for my photo and some of my photos are WAY lame, but I’m still chugging along. Here’s my May round-up…

I need some inspiration to get me excited about eating healthy again.  I ran across this book recently…

It looks good from what I can tell online, but I want to get out to the bookstore soon and flip through it.  I’m a really picky eater so I like to browse and see if I can find a few recipes that I like immediately.  I hate buying a book and only finding 1-2 recipes that I’d actually make, so if I can’t find a few good ones while just browsing it, it’s likely not a good investment for me.

Anthropologie has some flippin’ adorable, i-don’t-need-them-but-desperately-want-them, glass drink ware for sale right now.  I am particularly fond of these little cuties…

I’ve been switching handbags a lot lately, but because I’m not super organized like this chick…I never have all the stuff I want/need.  I usually only grab my wallet/wristlet, my phone, a chapstick and my camera.  No bueno!  I really want to take the time and have a pretty organized back like this one.
