I went to one intro SUP session in 2015 and immediately had to have my own board. I purchased my own gear less than a year later, but I rarely get out to paddle. This year I decided to do something about it. I took the plunge and started a meetup group for ladies who SUP. One of the things I hope to get out of having a group of like minded ladies to paddle with, is to find more great spots around Jacksonville. I started a “Where to Paddle around Jax” resource page where you can find photos and notes on the locations I’ve paddled around Jacksonville. It’s an ongoing project that I’ll add to as I visit new spots.

The bare essentials
[coming soon] I bought a paddle board…now what?! Check out my essentials list here.

“Great! I have all the gear, but where the heck do I go to get in the water?!”
You’d think this was an easy answer since we have lots of water around Jax, but it wasn’t easy for me. I want to have a better resource for beginners to access so they don’t have the same problem I did. I created “Where to Paddle around Jax” where I’ll be documenting the places I’ve paddled and what I thought about them (with photos!). It’s very much a work in progress as I’m adding as I visit new locations. Click –> here <– to visit.
